The leadership of the Russian Federation, most likely, in their own way interpreterpath the statement of US state Secretary Rex Tillerson about the fact that Moscow needs to take the first steps on ceasefire in the Donbass.
This was stated by the expert on international Affairs Andrew Buzarov.
“I think they will ignore. Knowing the Russian press, knowing the position of the majority of Russian politicians, most likely, they will twist everything and say that Ukraine needs to make the first move. I’ve heard some of the statements of foreign Minister Lavrov. Just yesterday he said that Ukraine is the main subject of the Minsk process. They have the perception that Ukraine should take the first step,” – said the expert.
However, he noted that the agreements themselves were initially prescribed legally illiterate.
“In fairness, it should be noted that the Minsk agreements do not stipulate who should be the first to fulfill them. They initially prescribed legally sloppy and unprofessional”, he added.
However, according to Buzarova, the U.S. will remain an ally of Ukraine in this conflict.
“The United States would be an ally of Ukraine, because Ukraine is important to Russia made the first step. How Russia is able to make this step and does it make him? Personally I have my doubts due to many reasons”, – concluded the expert.
