Patrolman killed in the line of duty.
Today, September 25, at the Central bus station in the river opened a monument patrol officers Kutusheva Artem and Olga Makarenko, who died in the line of duty a year ago.
A memorial sign has the appearance of granite Chevron, on which is written the names of those killed on patrol.
Put the sign on charitable funds, the work was completed Dnieper sculptor and volunteer Vladimir Nizhnik. During the celebration of the top 12 police officers received awards.
Recall, September 25, 2016, while trying to apprehend a fugitive wanted for a serious crime fighter of the battalion “Tornado” by Alexander Pugachev, the latter opened fire. Dead patrol: 27-year-old Artem Kutushev and 36-year-old Olga Makarenko.
It was the first case of death of the patrol in the performance of official duties in the history of Ukraine.
