Archaeologists have discovered the first dwelling of the Dnieper.
On the outskirts of the ancient settlement of Old Samara (Novobogoroditskaya fortress), which was formed at the crossing of the river Samara, the archaeological expedition has unearthed one of the first dwellings of the Dnieper, which, most likely, lived a Cossack.
According to them, the findings indicate that there lived a very rich Cossack. According to the head of the archaeological expedition of Dmitry Teslenko, at the site “found a variety of coins, glassware – in those days they were very expensive, the ceramic ware was imported and too costly”.
He noted that the dwelling itself consists of several buildings – the so-called commercial and part residential. Currently, a group of archaeologists continues to explore the settlement.
