In the Poltava region will see an unusual monument

In Kremenchug want to establish a memorial to the righteous among the Nations who saved Jews during the Second world war.

At the meeting of the Commission on names of objects to city authorities decided to place a monument in the Peace Park.

According to the Chairman of the Commission Secretary of the city Council Yury Gritsenko, a memorial sign will be in the form of a stone plaque, which will cause the names of the righteous. The list has been agreed with representatives of the Jewish community, because all the circumstances of the rescue should be documented or confirmed rescued or descendants of the man whom he had saved.

Recall, Ukraine occupies the 4th place in the number of righteous among the Nations after Poland, France and the Netherlands. This honorary title has received more than 2.5 thousand Ukrainians.
