In the Mediterranean sea sinks a ship with refugees

The ship took on Board too many people and lost control.

In the Mediterranean sea in distress vessel Iuventa German non-governmental organization rettet Jugend (“Youth saves”), involved in the search and rescue of refugees off the coast of Libya. Sunday, April 16, the organization reported on their pages in Facebook and Twitter information about what the ship lost control due to overload.

“We are not able to control the ship due to the fact that he took on Board too many people. At stake is the lives of hundreds of people”, – quotes page Jugend rettet Facebook coming in with her team members.

“Besides people on Board, about 400 people are in close proximity inflatable boats. Among them – women, children, most without life jackets,” reports the organization. The situation is complicated by the fact that, according Jugend rettet, in the area where the ship is located, the deteriorating weather conditions.
