In Kharkov found the cult temple.

Archaeologists have found in Lyubotin of Kharkov region of the mound, which is one of the oldest in the basin of the Seversky Donets river.

“In Lyubotin managed to study only four of the mound. The biggest Gonsowski, the burial retinue of the monarch. Its height is 7.5 m. two of the mound of 5 meters. Recently, we finished excavations at the fourth mound. It is located in the gardens. Mound much more modest scale – in diameter 30 m and height 1.5 meters. Initially its height was two times more”, – said the Director of Slobozhanska archaeological service, Okatenko.

According to him, the mound was a cult temple.

“We found nothing that would indicate the burial. In particular, we found no remains of bodies, funeral food. In addition, the structure of the mound does not resemble the tomb – it is rather the sacrificial monument. At the entrance to the temple stood three columns. Also was discovered the pole vault, an ancient graphed, pottery – the remnants of a Greek amphora, amphora rim of Miletus late 7th – early 6th century BC, pot, ladle,” – said the expert.
