In the Kharkiv metro will be a new train of Ukrainian production

The train will ply on Holodnogorsko subway lines

From September 1, the upgraded car will go on Holodnogorsko subway lines.

One of the trains in Kharkiv subway modernized. It has updated the cab, did the coupler barriers and plan to install surveillance cameras.

“In the summer of 2016 was launched overhaul of the composition with the replacement of major components. Already made a few test races tonight. The train consists of 5 wagons. It will be run on Holodnogorsko metro line”, – said the Director of the Kharkov metro Stamatin Vyacheslav.

In the cockpit there was a renewed interior, as in the old trains for train drivers was not provided a comfortable environment. Also, it has replaced management and established a special monitor. In addition, the new composition of the rubber coupler made barriers that will not allow adventurers to ride between cars on the subway.

In the near future it is planned to install surveillance cameras, which will be located in the cab and around all the exits.

The mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes said about the cost of repairs of the train and the plans for the near future regarding renewal of the metro.

“The first part was repaired at the expense of the metro, as well as related production of domestic enterprises. To repair the train spent 44 million, and the purchase of new trains costing from 200 to 250 million UAH. The new composition will start to carry passengers from 1 September,” – said Gennady Kernes.

Also the mayor of Kharkiv said that in the next few years it is planned to make 10 similar compounds.
