Matvienko said that he sees no logic in the proposal of the state Department.
The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that he sees no logic in the suggestion of the US state Department to place UN peacekeepers on the border of Russia and Ukraine.
“No logic in the proposal (proposal by the US state Department to place UN peacekeepers on the border of Russia and Ukraine – ed.) I do not see”, – said the speaker of the Federation Council, responding to a question.
“If the OSCE will not only be on the frontline, naturally, the peacekeepers will follow them throughout, but accompanied by providing security. Another meaning of these peacekeepers there,” – said V. Matvienko.
