In the Chernobyl zone will build the railway

The Railways station is designed to transport spent fuel from existing nuclear power plants of Ukraine.

State enterprise Energoatom has signed a contract with CHAO Ukrenergomontazh within state construction Corporation ukrbud (all – Kiev), on the construction of the railway in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

“On this project we were given 14 months. Now there is a preparatory process, a month later we will be able to proceed directly to the construction of the route. The total length of the new branch is 5.8 km”, – quote the words of the General Director Ukrenergomontazh Michael Borodavko.

The new Railways station is designed to transport spent fuel from existing nuclear power plants of Ukraine.

“This problem is particularly acute, as after the rupture of economic relations with the Russian Federation, where fuel is sent for storage in previous years, the domestic atomic power stations it is almost overcrowded,” – said in a statement.
