Ukrbud began railway construction in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
Specialists Ukrenergomontazh, part of state Corporation ukrbud, started construction of a new railway line near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
This is stated in the message of the Ukrbud.
“Additional branch will connect the construction site to a Centralized repository for spent nuclear fuel (facility) and the existing line vil’cha-Yanov railway Ovruch-Chernigov”, – noted in the company.
The company’s specialists will have to build railway track length of about six kilometers, and to connect it with an existing line in the area of the abandoned station Shepelichi.
In addition, both sides of the railway are single-lane roads with a length of 2,1 and 3,1 km.
Completion is scheduled for April 2018.
