In the area of ATO decreased activity of the militants

Militants in the Donbas for a day made two attacks

During 29 December 2017 in the zone of the antiterrorist operation in the Donbas the militants have reduced activity. This is stated in the message press center ATO in Facebook.

“Despite progress made in Minsk agreement about the new year and the Christmas truce, the Russian occupation troops, although and reduced the activity, but did not stop shelling positions of the Armed forces of Ukraine”, – stated in the message. The headquarters said that during the day militants fired two sighting shelling strongholds of the ATO forces at the Donetsk direction.

In particular, Verkhnetoretsky and Butovka mine, the enemy provoked the Ukrainian military in fighting opposition from grenade launchers and small arms. The Ukrainian side is the return fire was not opened. In other parts of the violations of the cease-fire was observed.
