In Tbilisi the literature will be promoted on the streets of the city

The project “city library” will allow locals and tourists to download and read books anywhere.

Tbilisi city hall is launching a new project “City library”, allowing you to download free e-books on phones, tablets and other devices in the streets, parks and subways.

Residents and tourists will be able to download books via QR codes with special signs that will appear throughout the city. Download book can app Saba Reader.

According to the Tbilisi city hall, across the city is planned to accommodate about 300 points for downloading the books that will turn the city into a “library under the open sky”.The project will start with 50 streets bearing the names of Georgian writers, where will be placed the electronic library with works of these writers. “It will be an original design, along with street names, include a list of works of the writer and QR codes for downloading their electronic version,” – said at city hall.

Later the e-library will appear in 12 parks of the city and then the subway. The library will be completely ready by April.
