In Switzerland there were found remains of a couple who disappeared nearly a century ago

An elderly couple went missing in 1942.

In Switzerland found the frozen remains of a couple, who 75 years ago has disappeared in the Alps near the ski lift
Marcellin and Francine Dumoulin, the villagers Chandolin in the Canton of Valais went to milk the cows in August 1942 and never returned. Found them just now, at the height of 2615 meters on the glacier Defleron next to the ski lift in the resort of Les Diablerets.

“The bodies were lying next to each other. It was a man and a woman in period clothing of the Second world war”, – said the Director of the mountain station Glacier 3000 Bernhard Tschannen.

According to him, the bodies of the spouses and their stuff is perfectly preserved inside a glacier.

“We think they may have caught in a crevice, where he remained for decades. When the glacier retreated, the body remained”, – explained Trennen.

The youngest daughter of this pair is 79 years old. Her name is Marcellin udri-Dumoulin, and it all the time with the other children of this couple continued the search. Now to confirm the identity of the dead relatives have to do a DNA test.

40-year-old Dumoulin was a shoemaker, and his 37-year-old wife Francine is a teacher. They left five sons and two daughters. After the disappearance of their parents the children were sent to different families.
