In Sumy the truck knocked down a 12-year-old child

In Sumy region detained a truck driver who knocked down 12-year-old boy and attempted to flee the scene of an accident.

“The event took place in the Glukhovsky district yesterday at 19.25. The deceased boyfriend of 12 years. That evening, he together with girlfriend were walking through the village. A passing truck hit him and drove on. The measures taken after an hour the driver was detained by the police rapid response team Glukhovsky police Department”, – stated in the published press service of the police.

The only witness of the tragedy was 14-year-old girlfriend of the deceased. According to the girl, police learned that evening the children returned home, when from behind I heard a roar of a truck.

“They retreated to the sidelines. The girl stood away, and the guy closer to the road. When the truck drove by, and saw him already on the ground. The personnel of the police Department was focused on search of the driver. Was immediately put into effect a plan “Interception”. Near was the route “Moscow-Kiev”. So the police went in the direction of following the fugitive,” Deputy chief Glukhov Department of police Sergey Buchananii.

Police found “KAMAZ” more than 15 kilometres from the scene, in the village of Shevchenkove. The driver explained that in the evening drove through the village, where the event occurred, and even saw the children, but did not feel the collision.
