Users of social networks and online games will be identify by phone number.
From 2018 users of social networks and online gaming are going to identify by phone number. The development of the relevant law will be engaged in the Ministry of communications and the FSB on behalf of the security Council.
It is planned to take additional steps to regulate all of the Internet resources, where possible correspondence between the users of social networks, instant messengers and online games.
Under current law, distributors of information required to transmit it to the competent authorities at their request, and from 1 January 2018 messengers are also obliged to negotiate with mobile operators to identify their users.
The new law should be developed by 1 June 2018 but is not yet known, it will be organized by the identification process.
From 1 July 2018 will enter into force the so-called law of Spring that would force the distributors of information to store all the data about the facts of communication between players, quotes RBC words of the analyst of the Russian Association of electronic communications Karen Ghazaryan. He also added that operators are already identificeret users, so the new law is not necessary.
