Sunday, may 5, in Russia came into force new rules of identification in the messengers by phone number. Document about the new rules identify users of instant messengers at the end of 2018 was signed by the head of the Russian government Dmitry Medvedev.

Now the messengers have to check the registration information of the user’s telephone number from a mobile operator. That, in turn, for 20 minutes is required to provide the requested information. If the operator does not have time to answer or phone number was not in the database, identification will not be considered complete.

The user will be able to authenticate again if you change the information or uses another number.

Users who are not tested, the messenger is obliged to prevent the sending of messages. The mobile operator in turn should add to its database as information about how the application is used by the subscriber, and a unique identification code.

All respondents TASS on the eve of the entry into force of the decree of the government mobile operators (Beeline, MTS, MegaFon and Tele2) has stated it is ready to meet the new requirements.
