In the city of Gukovo of the Rostov region, miners who worked in the company “Kingcol”, among whom are those who came from the Ukraine, announced an indefinite hunger strike due to non-payment of their 374 million rubles.
“Former employees “Kingcol” estimated that after all the “final payment” they still have about 374 million rubles”, – stated in the message.
As noted, including a large debt to foreign workers from Ukraine, which have not paid anything at all. “We have worked at mine people with Ukrainian citizenship. They are very vulnerable – who needs them, who will complain? They’re not our citizens. Here they decided not to pay,” said Trustee protesting miners Valery Dyakonov.
The action was attended by 18 people. The protests of miners began two days after local authorities announced one hundred percent repayment.
Some participants of the hunger strike plan to go to Moscow and to convene a press conference, said the deacons. In December, the miners tried to reach the capital to draw attention to their problems, however, the police and the Cossacks did not let them out of Gukovo.
