In 2020 the rates of utilization fee for cars on average will grow more than twice as much on RB 110.7%, which will lead to additional pressure for buyers, especially imported cars, Russian media writes.
According to “Kommersant”, the growth rates utilsbora less affected machine with the engine up to 1 litre – an increase of 46.1 per cent, and cars with engines of 3.5 liters more (an increase of 145%). In the latter category are SUVs and premium sedans.
The car recycling fee on the most mass segment of cars (engine 1-2 l) is increased by nearly 112,4%. These machines are widely produced in Russia.
From 1 January the price of cars would rise because of the traditional update of the model range and other objective factors, but the increase in car recycling fee will have an additional effect, the newspaper writes. According to newspaper interviewed experts, the increased cost of cars will not happen overnight and is expected to amount to 2-4%.
The Ministry of industry and trade reported that the increase in rates of utilization fee will keep the barrier to import 30% of the cost, i.e. at the level of initial tariffs
The Association “Russian car dealers” were asked not to increase recycling. On the assessment road, with a significant increase in the rate of utilsbora the sale of some imported brands of cars will become unprofitable, which will lead to the closure of at least 200-300 dealers, dismissal not less than 20 thousand employees and a reduction in tax revenues.
