Due to the Typhoon in Severo-Kurilsk the river changed channel and entered the city.
In Severo-Kurilsk Sakhalin region of Russia and eliminate the consequences of the Typhoon, the Sanwa, the district introduced a state of emergency.
River Kuzminka with the passage of the Typhoon changed direction and entered the city along streets with residential homes. The river flooded and demolished a large number of garages and cars. Also there were reports of flooding of the first floor of 12 residential houses.
Currently all the heavy machinery involved in that to return the river Kuzminka river and another river sailor in a former riverbed.
Local authorities are still not fully estimated the damage, but now it is several tens of millions of rubles.
In Severo-Kurilsk live 2.5 thousand people.
