Parking spaces were removed in front of the Embassy in Moscow and next to the buildings of the consulates in Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok.
Russia has revoked the right to Park cars and bikes in buildings of embassies and consulates for the U.S. diplomats in several cities of Russia. It is reported by The Associated Press.
Maria Olson, the press-Secretary of the US Embassy in Moscow reported that Parking spaces were removed in front of the Embassy in Moscow and next to the buildings of the consulates in Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok.
“We can confirm that Parking spaces that were previously dedicated to our consular staff in Russia, has recently been removed. We plan to raise this issue with the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia, to discuss it with them,” – said the press-Secretary of the U.S. Department of State Heather Nauert.
In addition, previously the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that Russia wants to equalize the working conditions of American and Russian diplomats. And on 12 September, Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that us diplomats will not be “additional bonuses or preferences that they enjoyed a certain date.”
