Primorsky regional court overturned the conviction of businessman Oleg Drozdov, who was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment in the case of fraud amounting to more than 300 million rubles in the construction for the APEC summit-2012 the solid waste landfill. In June, the entrepreneur was convicted on charges of large-scale fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code), he was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment and a fine of 900 thousand rubles. The second defendant — Alexey Symanchuk was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment and fined 600 thousand rubles.

According to investigators, the persons involved in the execution of the contract on recultivation of the landfill, deceiving the customer, stole more than 300 million rubles.

The criminal case against Drozdov was initiated by the investigative Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation. 25 Oct 2013 according to the decision of the court the businessman was arrested, and in a year was released from jail Vladivostok on the security in 30 million roubles.
