More than 2,000 people were evacuated in the Polish seaside resort of kołobrzeg on the Baltic sea coast found bomb during the Second world war.
The representative of the local naval units Jacek Kwiatkowski stated that the bomb squad found three bombs and two objects of unknown origin, which in the end turned out not to be bombs.
“It was a concrete brick anchor with metal pieces and crushed tire scrap”, – he said.
Each bomb weighed about 300 kilograms, and their range was estimated at approximately 2 km. The bombs are lifted out of the sea and on a special truck to the landfill for controlled detonation.
Local residents and tourists allowed to return to their homes.
