The first Museum in Ukraine of the concrete.

The first Museum in Ukraine of the concrete and construction technologies was opened in Odessa, Nikolaev on the road.

A unique collection of exhibits is located on the territory of the plant small construction.

According to the creators, the exhibition primarily aims to show the variety of uses of this versatile building material.

The Museum has more than two hundred exhibits. Here, for example, samples of the materials from which the concrete was created in antiquity and is created now.

As the Director of the Museum Artem Rudometkin, the exhibits collected bit by bit for six months: they were bought at auctions and from private collections.

“Technical progress has stepped very far away — said Museum curator. Now concrete can be cast almost everything, not only buildings. Little figurines, lamp shades, garden furniture… Everything!”.

Among exhibits — unique documents on the geological excavations held in our area almost 100 years ago, different devices. Some unique. For example, in the exhibition is tensiometer system Aistova to determine the “capillary component of soil water potential”. So, play this device no one has!

A separate hall is dedicated to the construction. Here scale recreations of processes in which somehow involved the concrete. Clearly demonstrated, as in Soviet times, was erected the complex of concrete objects: bridges, industrial workshops, prefabricated Khrushchev…

In one of the rooms to the smallest detail recreated the office of the chief engineer of the construction of the plant of the Soviet period. Sparse furnishings and faded Wallpaper in stark contrast to modern construction companies.

The Museum collection continues to grow. On the opening day of multiple storage devices presented by the partners. The founders of the Museum promised that it will work on a free basis.

In addition to the Museum on the premises today opened a branch of the Department of Odessa state Academy of construction and architecture.
