Destroyer Duncan arrived on the eve to the seaport as part of a permanent naval group of NATO №2
In Odessa, the Ukrainian and the British Navy held a joint class aboard the destroyer Duncan. As reported in the press center of command of Naval forces of Armed forces of Ukraine, today, July 25, the Ukrainian and the British Navy held a joint training on Board the specified destroyer, arrived yesterday in Odessa sea port as part of a permanent naval group of NATO No. 2 (SNMG2).
The SNMG2 ships – destroyer of the Royal Navy Duncan and frigates of the Turkish Navy Yildirim – 27 of July will be in the port of Odessa.
“Together with servicemen of the Ukrainian Navy classes in the struggle for the survival of the ship and the conduct of examinations is one of the elements of the visit”, – said the press center.
During class there was an exchange of experience, acquaintance with the algorithm of action gear colleagues, direct testing of specific elements. Both sides noted the great benefit of joint training, in terms of improving knowledge and skills, achieving interoperability.
Destroyer Duncan commanded by captain 2nd rank Eleanor Stack. She hails from Glasgow, is the first education historian and social anthropologist. In the Royal Navy served since 2000. She is married, has three children. Only the command of a warship Duncan more than 20 women.
