Norwegian hunters found in the rocks near the city of Alex (275 kilometres from Oslo) sword meter length, whose age exceeds a thousand years. The ancient weapon was found at an altitude of 1640 meters above sea level.

Norwegian archaeologist Lars Holger Philo believes that the sword could forget the Viking who got lost in the mountains and later died from altitude sickness.
The archaeologist said that the weapon was made in the period from 850 to 950 ad. According to Philo, the sword is well preserved thanks to the quality of iron, as well as favorable storage conditions.
Over thousands of years the weapons were in the cold with dry air.
