In Nigeria, a suicide bomber blew up: at least 50 dead

17-year-old suicide bomber detonated a bomb in the mosque.

In Mubi, Adamawa state (Nigeria) there was a suicide bombing in a mosque suicide bombers, fifty victims. AFP reported, citing police information.

“At least 50 people were killed in the explosion at a mosque in northeast Nigeria,” the statement reads. According to local publications, up 17-year-old male-suicide in the mosque after morning prayer is one of the deadliest attacks in 2017.

According to the representative of state police, Othman Abubakar, the number of victims can increase. The attack occurred on Tuesday at 5:20 local time. The injured have been evacuated to a local hospital.

“In the mosque along with other came a young man about 17 years old, wearing a vest for suicide. Immediately after the prayers, he detonated the bomb. Many of the wounded are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in the North, Mubi,” Abubakar said.
