The mother of journalist Alexander Sokolov is sure that it was arson.
Unknown burned the apartment of the prisoner journalist Alexander Sokolov, who was sentenced to 3.5 years on charges of allegedly organizing a referendum on the authorities ‘ responsibility. This is stated on the page of the journalist in Facebook.
The fire burned the documents, personal belongings, furniture.
As established in the MOE, the cause of ignition was external factors.
“In August I was not in Moscow. The house in the day of the fire no one was at 9:00am. But around 11:30 I got a call from MOE and said that the apartment burned down. All the furniture is junk: the part burned, part of the soot. Temperature even the chandelier and the TV melted. Almost everything must be changed, even the doors. Survived only a refrigerator, stove and washer. Although the Windows are broken, there is an intolerable smell of burning,” – said the journalist’s mother.
According to her, the appliances or open flames in the apartment.
“Smoking, no Smoking. With the wiring in the apartment, as found by firemen in the place, everything was in order. That is, the cause of the fire was external factors, it was arson. However, as we may hope, in good faith, to understand the circumstances of the fire and for the perpetrators, no one seems to be going,” she said.
