For a long time the bridge that led to one of the towers of the Kitay-Gorod wall was considered to be lost, the mere mention of it is in the annals of 400-year-old. The bridge saw archaeologists who witnessed the repair work of plumbing. The length of the historical fragment was seventeen meters.

According to scientists, discovered the white stone bridge replaced a wooden, he acted prior to the reign of the Russian Emperor Alexander I who issued a decree ordered to fill up with earth the ditch near the Kitay-Gorod wall. The brickwork dated the third quarter of the seventeenth century the letters P and D.

After studying the design, the archaeologists covered it with soil to preserve it from possible damage.
