Sunday, 1 October in Moscow held a protest action near the Russian office of Google. The protesters opposed the “collaboration of Youtube with the Russian authorities”. Arrested more than 30 people. This was announced by Russian opposition activist and blogger Denis Styazhkin.
It is reported that the reason for first detention was a white mask from the activist. People were no placards and shouted no slogans.
“Police detained about 30 people, without any reason. People just stood on the sidewalk, spoke, gave interviews to journalists, no posters were not, but at some point the police got the message “all screw” and started random detentions of the people gathered. Among police officers went undercover officers who showed “someone missed,” he said.
Styazhkin reported that the campaign came and “provocateurs from the Pro-Kremlin movements” with black and orange ribbons, which said that censorship is a good thing. According to him, some of them were also detained.
He stressed that to enter the campaign called on Russian bloggers who claim that the Moscow office of Google, “goes to the Kremlin” and reduces the amount of likes and views the content with the oppositional character, and also blocks unwanted channels.
“No slogans, no posters. Gathered to talk and speak Russian YouTube (protest – ed). He “writes off” the voice hits so many opposition bloggers, so fewer people watch them,” said one of the protesters.
