In Lviv from September 1 the tariff for garbage removal for the population has doubled – now, city residents will pay 1.4 hryvnia per square meter of living space. The corresponding decision of the Executive Committee of the Lviv city Council agreed on August 4.
In particular, under the new tariff the export of tons of garbage will be from 719 to 803 USD. Rates will vary depending on the carrier, which transports waste from different parts of the city.
Garbage collection will rise in price also for budgetary institutions and legal entities – from 753 to 842 UAH per ton.
The initiators of raising fares are city carriers, which are called current rates “not economically justified”.
