In London in the subway detained a man with a knife

The man said he carried the knife for self-defense

In the London underground, law enforcement officials detained armed with a knife man. About it reports a press-service of the local police in Twitter.

“Dave, the police and the detained man, who was previously seen in the subway with a knife. The man said he carried the knife for self-defense,” – said in a statement to the police. Also attached to the post picture of the knife in a transparent case. Noted that because of the incident, was stopped the movement of trains between stations “Hammersmith and Acton town.”

Recall that in the London underground at the station “Parsons green” on the morning of 15 September 2017 exploded an improvised explosive device. The explosion occurred in the “white container”, one of the tail cars of the train. The explosion injured 22 people. In the London police called the incident a terrorist attack.

Responsibility for the attack claimed by the terrorist group “Islamic state”. Prime Minister Theresa may stated that in connection with the attack, the terrorist threat level in the country has been upgraded from “serious” to “critical.”
