Fair dedicated to photography.
For the first time in Ukraine, in Kiev from 2 to 5 November 2017 will be held Kyiv Photo, the international art fair dedicated to photography. Venue and exhibition venue known Complex “Toronto-Kiev”, which has already been successfully carried out large-scale cultural events.
The main objective of the fair is to present photography as a self-sufficient region of the Ukrainian contemporary art and host an event of European level.
The format of the event involves several areas: the exhibition of the leading figures of the Ukrainian art, the galleries exhibiting and selling photography and international institutions with special projects, educational part (lectures/ round table) and a competition for young authors. This year the focus is on the Ukrainian photographers and galleries.

The main and Central event of the first photography fair in Ukraine will be a collective exhibition of the most famous Ukrainian photographers “Ukrainian archetype”, which has achieved world recognition. Curator – Dmitry Bogachuk, art historian, photographer, lecturer. Through this Photo exhibition, Kyiv intends to introduce a wider audience to face the Ukrainian photos and help systematize the common cultural heritage of Ukraine in the field of contemporary photography.
Photographers who have confirmed participation in the exhibition: Sergey Bratkov, Arsen Savadov, Victor Marushchenko, Alexander glyadelov, Mikhail Pedan, Alex Chekmenev, Kirill Golovchenko, Roman p’iatkivka, Ihor Gaidai, Maxim dondyuk, group, Shyla, Victoria Sorochinski, Sasha Maslov, Sergei Melnichenko, goes to Mykyta shalennyi.
In the sector galleries will participate Brucie Collections, NU Art Gallery, Gallery 5.6, Art14, Tauvers International, In Vogue, Apart11 and others. In the framework of projects already given preliminary consent to participate IZOLYATSIA, the newspaper Today, the Swiss Embassy, Odessa-Batumi Photo Days, Vadim Yatsenko (private photo collection) and others.
Several media publications have expressed a desire to support Photo Kyiv, including “Today”, Art Ukraine, Chernozem, Bird in Flight, Artdependence Magazine, In Kyiv, Fotoafisha, In-Art and Old Fashioned Radio.
