The annual French film festival.
January 24, 2018 in the capital kicks off the annual festival “evenings of French cinema”, which runs until January 31.
The festival films:
“Young Godard” ( “Le Redoutable”) – a biographical Comedy (France) 2017/102 min. Paris, 1967. French Director Jean-Luc Godard meets a young actress Ann Vyazemsky, his future wife. The meeting takes place in a turbulent period of Godard’s life: the controversial reception of his new movie and the may revolution of 1968, erect Director crazy.
Rodin ( “Rodin”) biographical drama (France, Belgium) 2017/119 min. the Story of the ascent brilliant of the sculptor to the top of world art. This is a story about the work of Auguste Rodin, of the myriad amorous intrigues and difficult relationships with the main women in the life of the master – a talented student Camille Claudel, and Rose Beuret, the mother of his only child.
“Happy ending” ( “Happy End”) – a tragicomedy (France, Germany, Austria) 2017/107 min This is a film about psychopaths, rich, social privileges, suicide and even murder. Through the story of a large family, trivial and insignificant deeds of the characters gradually formed a comical picture of the European crisis with his attitude towards migrants and the real cost of modern bourgeois values.
“Look for the woman” ( “Cherchez la femme”) – a romantic Comedy (France) 2017/88 min Parisians Arman and Leila passionately in love with each other. This becomes a problem when from Yemen returns to strict elder brother of Leila Mahmoud, who suddenly became religious.
