On Friday, November 3, entered into force the decision of Kyiv city Council on renaming of streets in Kiev.
As reported on the page of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory on Facebook, the decision was published in the newspaper “Khreshchatyk”.
It is reported that now in Kiev, there are street Augustine Voloshin, Yaroslava Stetsko, ISA Munayev, Les Tanaka, the area of Valeriy Marchenko.
Earlier, the deputies of Kyiv city Council voted for the renaming of streets and lanes in the capital:
street – Krasnovodsk – in Khotyn St. in Podilskyi district;
– St. Nikolai Lebedev in St. Yuri Amendments in the Dnieper area;
– alley bitter – prowl. Boris Shahlin in goloseyevsky area;
– Yaroslav Galan street in St. Augustine Voloshin in Solomenskiy district;
– St. Timothy Shamrylo – Park street-Syretska in Shevchenkivskyi district;
– Dneprodzerzhinskaya str – Kamenskaya St. in Darnytskyi district;
– street Lebedev-Kumach in St. Nicholas, Gallego in Solomenskiy district;
– Sotsialisticheskaya str – str Lev Matsievich in Solomenskiy district;
– St. Eugene pottier in St. Anton Cedeca in the Shevchenko district.
Sabados informed that in Kiev, renamed the street Wanda Wasilewska in honor of the famous Ukrainian economist, philanthropist and civic leader Bogdan Hawrylyshyn. Also on several streets want to remove the ones names in the Ukrainian language.
