In the capital, a scandal erupted with the renovation of the legendary staircase that connects the Landscape alley with the tract, Potters Kozhemyaka. We will remind, it was built in 80-ies of the last century and fell into disrepair, it was dismantled last year. Officials from the mayor’s office promised her to restore old drawings and even showed the finished project to the townspeople considered how it will look new. But alas, as it turned out, now in peyzazhke want to build a huge staircase made of concrete.

PROJECT. Last year the process of reconstruction of the stairs came to a halt due to the fact that during disassembly it was discovered the old steps. Arrived at the scene by archeologists, but after research it turned out that the finding of no historic value has no, since they were built in the 1950s and 1960s.

Now the alarm was sounded, the activists of the NGO “Andreevskoe-Landscape initiatives”, finding a new project to the KSCA. “Last year we were approached by KP “Engineering center” with a request to help to hold a competition to determine the best design solutions reconstruction of the stairs with an Infinity of alleys in the tract, Potters Kozhemyaka. Among the six entries was a winner, who offered to make a wood staircase with iron railing. The style was maintained, as in the old Kiev. Project everyone loved, it even showed the mayor of Kiev. But now we are discussing the new project with other sizes of steps and made of concrete” — told “Today” head of the public organization Marina Solovyov.

Kiev, too, are puzzled. “The wooden stairs were popular among tourists. And rendezvous. I wanted to get it done no worse than the one that was there previously, and concrete in the city and have enough” — outraged kievlyanin Alexander Kravets.

REPLACEMENT. At KCSA, we were assured that the new project will be submitted for public discussion. The official adds that the new project has not yet been decided whether steps of wood or concrete. To reconstruct the ladder will be at the expense of the city budget. The amount not yet called, but I assume that will fully equip it to the end of the year.
