17 July in Kiev held a rally in defense of animals. The activists demanded to ban the exploitation of animals in the circus.
The protesters gathered near the District administrative court of Kyiv, where on the same day the meeting took place in the case of the circus “Kobzov”. The circus is trying to reverse the decision prohibiting the inclusion of animals in circus numbers, it outraged animal rights activists.
In court they came with posters, loudspeaker and confidence to prevent the development of events in favor of “Kobzov”. However, those wishing to participate in the rally was a little bit. In addition to Alexander Todoroki, initiator UAnimals, and his team, to the protest came about three dozen people.
Shortly after the beginning of the action the protesters were joined by actress and singer Dasha Astafieva. Dasha came dressed in black and visibly worried. According to star, she is very concerned about the exploitation of animals in the circus for fun.
