In Kiev, arrested a gang of Georgian

The crime was committed assault with a deadly weapon.

Law enforcers detained in Kiev four foreigners suspected in a series of assaults on businesses.

As reported in Prosecutor’s office, all four men are citizens of Georgia who temporarily resided in the capital and for a long time engaged in “assaults with a firearm”.

“August 30, 2017, the attackers, moving on the highway Brest-Litovsk on the BMW car, blocked the car of the victim, stabbed him twice in the shoulder and took his bag with 6.5 million hryvnias”, – told the Agency.

After that, in Kiev, was introduced plan Interception, and after a few hours the attackers were arrested.

It is noted that during the searches police seized from the detainees “pistols, a Kalashnikov rifle, a large quantity of ammunition, sets of license plates for cars, mobile phones, radios, navigation devices, balaclavas, gloves, wigs, about 40 sets of keys, lockpicks, other tools that were used to commit crimes, and money”.

“Currently, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s office in Kiev all detainees it is reported about suspicion under part 4 of article 187 of the criminal code of Ukraine (the robbery directed on a taking by property in especially large amounts committed by group of persons). Preparing the petition for election of a measure of restraint in form of detention. Also checked the involvement of detainees in other criminal episodes”, – added in Prosecutor’s office.
