The ceremony was also attended by state leaders including President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, first Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko, Chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, representatives of clergy, public, diplomatic corps, Cabinet members, MPs.
Then sign at the memorial Candle memory the heads of the Ukrainian Christian churches prayed about the deaths from starvation in 1932-1933.
Also at the end of the prayer and the speech, the President announced a nationwide moment of silence, after which began the all-Ukrainian action light a candle.
