It is reported by Interfax with reference to head of the Kamchatka group volcanic eruption response (KVERT) Institute of Volcanology and seismology, far East branch of RAS Olga Girina.
“This means that ash plumes from the volcano pose a risk to international airlines, that is, even for aircraft flying at altitudes up to 13 km,” Girina said, adding that the ash plume stretches for 112 km North-West of the volcano.
According to her, it is not excluded that in the near future, following ash emissions from Unnamed reach 15 km above sea level.
