In Israel, archaeologists during the excavations near the city of Ramat Beit Shemesh found the ancient stone. It is reported by the Israel antiquities authority.

The stone’s age is estimated at about nine thousand years.

Scientists from the University of Jerusalem suggested that he intended to fire. At this point two done holes in it and two connecting grooves.

“Some experts think that this ancient table-game, – says Anna eyrikh-rose from the Israel antiquities authority. – But this device is very comfortable to fire. Probably the holes were filled with combustible material. Then inserted the branch and quickly twisted it up as long as the material is not ignited”.

According to her, this is a very rare find. Science knows only about ten such devices, extant. Together with the stone were found numerous animal bones, and flint tools and fragments of a bracelet.
