Instagram allowed users to share photos via mobile browser. Previously this was only possible through the app.
The developers believe that it will help people who don’t want to download the official app.
Filters for photos in the browser version are not yet available. Also the ability to upload videos and send private messages.
So Instagram will have an advantage over its main competitor Snapchat.
