Local residents “enjoy” the unexpected winter
Kashmir (India) is experiencing cold and snowy weather. Throughout the region the storm paralyzed the normal life of residents.
It seems that the snowfall rejoice only tourists and children.
The climate of India is a bright example of tropical monsoon climate. In connection with the activities of the monsoon, and temperature changes in most parts of the country, there are three main seasons: winter (October — February), summer (March — June) and rainy season (June — September), the duration of which depends on the specific region and can change from year to year.
Sometimes there is also a fourth season — postmonsoon, which lasts from October to December and is the retreat of the monsoon. Important climate factors are a vast mountain system in the North of India and neighboring countries, as well as the Thar desert in the Northwest of the country.
The climate of each specific region also depends on many local factors such as the characteristics of the local terrain, height above sea level, proximity to the ocean and large bodies of water and others.
