In India are going to build a vacuum train

The project will involve more than $ 200 million investment and will last about a year.

The American research firm Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) would build India’s first Hyperloop vacuum train, which will connect the capital of Andhra Pradesh – Amaravati and Vijayawada.

HTT on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of understanding with the economic development Council of Andhra Pradesh (APEDB) – the first transaction in India that celebrates the creation of a new transport system.

Andhra Pradesh is the seventh largest state in India with a population of over 50 million people.

The model of public-private partnership (PPP), which is funded primarily by private investors, potentially to turn the trip that lasts more than an hour for a 5 minute trip between Amaravati and Vijayawada.

“The project will attract more than $ 200 million investment and will last about a year, after we get the necessary approval and “the right to travel,” said Krishna Kishore, Executive Director APEDB.
