Architectural firm Minarc became the author of the project of the hotel Ion Hotel, located near the National Park Thingvellir (Thingvellir National Park) in Iceland.

Natural geothermal springs provide the hotel year-round heating and hot water. On the ground level of the hotel there is a swimming pool with heated groundwater.
The wide Windows in each room of the hotel reduces the need for artificial lighting, while providing beautiful views of the rugged landscape of the island.
