In Germany detained the man who prepared the attack on the festive ice rink

The detainee was a supporter of the Islamists who fought on their side in Iraq.

Police in the German city of Karlsruhe were arrested on Wednesday a man suspected of planning a terrorist attack on the rink at the Schlossplatz in Karlsruhe on behalf of the “Islamic state”.

“29-year-old Casbar V. (Dasbar W.) is suspected of preparing a serious crime against the state”, – militiamen reported.

According to the preliminary conclusion of investigators, the man intended to commit a terrorist act with the use of the vehicle at the rink, organized in public holidays on the main square in Karlsruhe. Since the end of August 2017, he actively studied the situation in the area and offered his candidacy as a driver of different services for the delivery of correspondence.

It was found that the specified person is a supporter of the Islamists and fought on their side in the years 2015-16 in Iraq. In his apartment Wednesday, a search was conducted.
