Facebook launched a new feature antiphishing
Company Facebook announced the launch of new security features designed to help users protect themselves from phishing emails.
When the social network Facebook detects suspicious activity or password change, it notifies the user by sending them an email with the domain facebookmail.com. Cybercriminals often send out phishing emails containing malicious links under the guise of messages from Facebook.
Users can now check whether the e-mail message in the Inbox was sent to Facebook. To do this, choose “Settings” -> “Security & input” -> “View recent emails from Facebook”. Thus it is possible to see latest emails, including security and entrance, and if the message from the mailbox is not listed, it most likely is fake.
“If you have used this tool and found that you received the letter is fake, we recommend to inform at phish@facebook[.]com. If your account has been compromised by phishers, you can try to recover access to it on the page facebook.com/hacked” – said the representative of Facebook, Scott, Dickens (Dickens, Scott).
At the time of writing the news this feature is not available for all users of Facebook.
