In Europe arrested half a ton “of gold Yanukovych”

In Europe arrested more than 500 kilos of gold that was stolen and smuggled out of Ukraine the environment of fugitive ex-President Viktor Yanukovych. This was announced by Deputy Prosecutor General Evgeny ENIN in interview Insider.

“Just a few weeks ago, in cooperation with a European country, we have received information about the arrest of large party of gold: we are talking about more than a half ton”, – he said.

The total damage from the actions of Yanukovych’s regime, according to Enina is about $ 40 billion, of which $ 1.5 billion has already been returned to the state Treasury.

In addition, in different countries – mostly European – were arrested at the beginning of the autumn of the assets of Yanukovych’s entourage in the amount of the equivalent of about $ 200 million.

“However, too early to say that we have lost all capacity for the detection of other assets stolen by the Yanukovych regime”, – he concluded.
