In China, the lights will replace the glowing plants

Chinese scientists have conducted a number of studies, during which they managed to make a special luminous plants.

The latest in the future to replace street lights and reduce energy consumption in several times.

Experts have resorted to experiments with genes that were seized from marine plants having the property of luminescence. These genes instilled in conventional plants, including tobacco, which became a pioneer in this business, and they began to glow.

Biologists believe that in consequence local authorities will be obliged to “green up”, but rather to illuminate the streets of cities like flowers, lawns, shrubs and trees, thus completely replacing the standard lights. This opening will significantly reduce the demand for electricity.

The researchers plan is the creation of plants that will Shine not one, but multiple colors.
