In Cherkassy region the recidivist hacked to death wife

The offender faces up to 15 years in prison.

In a village in Kaniv district (Cherkasy region) previously convicted man being in a state of alcohol intoxication killed the cohabitant.

According to law enforcement officers, they asked the inhabitant of one of area villages with a message about the murder. The man told militiamen that the information he received from the deceased cohabitant.

“Investigative team, who arrived on call, found a dead woman on the floor in the hallway and identified his personality. It was 48-the summer local resident who lived in the house along with earlier judged 40-the summer cohabitant, resident of a village in Kaniv district. In the same room, on the nightstand, police found a kitchen knife with traces of blood, and the men at the scene were not. In the result of carrying out quickly-search actions, after 2 hours the suspect was apprehended in the woods. In conversation with police officers confessed to the crime and said that during the consumption of alcoholic beverages between him and the victim there was a quarrel.

“The man got angry, took a knife from the table and struck the woman a blow in the back. When she fell to the floor, hit her with an ax on the head. From the received traumas the woman died. In the morning, realizing what he had done, went to the neighbor, who told his version of the murder. Axe and my jacket hid near the house near the road in the pile of leaves, and then tried to escape,” – said the press service.
