In Belgium, thousands of people gathered for a rally in support of Catalan independence

Protesters gathered in Brussels in the heart of the European quarter.

The event was organized by two of the Catalan Association for independence – announced the participation of more than 20 thousand people under the slogan “Europe, Wake up!”. The protesters at noon the procession started from the Park near the European institutions.

The protesters arrived in Brussels in the morning on planes, trains, and on buses and in cars. Many of them came to the demonstration with the flags of Catalonia.

As you know, the former head of the government of Catalonia Carles Pujdeme and former Ministers are in Brussels after the removal of the Central power of Madrid.

The Supreme court of Spain withdrew the European arrest warrant Pokdemon. The court explained that separate charges, in particular sedition and rebellion against the government, is not recognized in Belgium and cannot be separated from the other charges.
